Tester Legion - 20 Testers for Closed Testing

Tester Legion is an Android developer platform that solves Google Play’s 20-tester, 14-day closed testing requirement. It connects indie developers through a reciprocal community testing system with automated tracking and community-backed feedback.

What Is Google Play’s 20-Tester Requirement?

Since late 2023, Google requires every new personal developer account to run a closed test with at least 20 testers for 14 consecutive days before the app can move to production on Google Play. For solo developers with no audience, this single requirement blocks thousands of launches — and that is exactly the problem Tester Legion was built to solve.

How Does Tester Legion Work?

Tester Legion is a reciprocal community: you test other developers’ apps, and they test yours. The platform coordinates the exchange, tracks participation, and makes sure your tester count stays above the 20-tester threshold across the full 14-day window. Automated tracking means you can see exactly where you stand against the requirement at any moment, instead of chasing testers by hand in Discord servers and Reddit threads.

Who Should Use Tester Legion?

• Indie Android developers publishing their first app under a personal Google Play account
• Solo founders who need to clear the closed-testing gate without an existing user base
• Small teams that want a predictable, dependable tester pool for every release

What Do You Get as a Member?

• A reliable pool of 20+ active testers for your closed testing track
• Automated day-by-day tracking of your 14-day requirement
• Community-backed feedback from real Android users, not bots
• Reciprocal credit — testing others keeps your own app eligible

How Do You Get Started?

Install the Tester Legion app from Google Play, register your app’s closed testing track, and start testing other members’ builds to earn credits for your own. Most developers clear the 14-day requirement without any manual coordination.
